Re: 2026 Baseball Mega Thread
That’s the word on the street. Big dollars. I'm hearing $2.1M to go to SC. Liberty's coach to CCU. I get the money but is SC really a better job? He would likely make the tournament more often at Coastal than SC. I think it's a toss up. The SEC is deeper than the SBC, but they also had 12 of their ...

Re: Playoff Hockey
Somebody needs to wake up Aho, Svech & Jarvis. They're just fumbling the puck away and giving up easy opportunities and they're barely doing anything on offense. Turning the puck over gave Vegas some easy shots to score on Freddie. Freddie wasn't his best, but they had great opportunities against h...

Re: 2026 Baseball Mega Thread
With the money coming from ? Alumni. Maybe take a dollar or two from Football. A couple of us are trying to set up a call with Kermit to see where we can assist/gauge needs. The program has had a few guys that made some decent money over the past 10-15 years playing professionally. Could be a start...

We got lucky with relatively low temps and cloudy skies for the 2024 game.

Re: 2026 Baseball Mega Thread
Who in the conference has NIL at a significant level? Probably just USM and Coastal. But I'm sure other teams will start picking up the slack. As most of these football schools have now realized they have no shot at competing for national relevance...just like us. We're all in the same boat now. We...

Re: 2026 Baseball Mega Thread
Football, mens basketball, baseball, and to a lesser extent softball are the sports that can actually get us recognition on a national scale. They need all the resources we have give. I hate to be that way, but that's reality. People around baseball know our coaches are overachieving with what they ...

Re: 2026 Baseball Mega Thread
Losing 8 of the last 12, including 4 straight would not be a meltdown? That's comical.. we split our last 4 series. Two wins, two losses, including a sweep of Stink. The other "loss" was to Wake Forest .. 18th in RPI.. Nice try to label it a meltdown... Kermit piss on your cornflakes in another lif...

Re: 2026 Baseball Mega Thread
Any bracket for the tournament will be difficult. I am not sure what is going on with coastal. Are they coasting or just not playing as well as compared to a few weeks ago. One would think they would still be focused as trying to get a regional host. I think that ship may have sailed. If not playin...

Re: 2026 Baseball Mega Thread
We played in those early games in 23 and 24 as well. Time to get payback on Texas State for knocking us out last year, and officially end their time in the SBC.

Re: 2026 Baseball Mega Thread
Bad loss to a bad team. Self inflicted. Very poor performance , two series in a row. Losing two to the conference cellar dweller heading into tournament time doesn’t provide much confidence. That Louisiana cellar dweller just took the series from Coastal as well. They started slow but have finished...

A 3rd place finish would be an incredible accomplishment for our program. A new contract needs to be waiting on them when they get home from Atlanta.

Changing the rules so more 5-7 teams can compete in bowl games with unclaimed bids: https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/48713433/proposal-seeks-flexibility-5-7-teams-fill-bowl-games Easy button: in lieu of changing the rules, maybe ditch some of the lower-tier bowl games…since no one w...

Win one game and lock up a top 6 seed and first round bye. Win two games and lock up a top 4 seed which put you in the home half for game one.

Re: 2026 Baseball Mega Thread
I am in agreement that the staff has likely earned an extension. My three questions are: 1. Is the overall record more of a reflection of the talent or the schedule? 2. What are the goals/steps to make postseason play in the future? 3. What would an adequate extension look like? My two cents... 1) ...
