Re: 1/10 - MBB at Beach Chickens, 1pm
We just need Kasen Jennings to get back to form. His 4-of-16 shooting performance today is concerning.

Man, I knew they didn’t play a lot of defense in the D-League but this just confirms it.

Re: Portal time 25-26
I got no clue. Both look pretty good in their highlight reels. I could make a strong argument for either. Unfortunately, those highlight reels rarely tell the whole story.

We’re averaging almost a turnover per minute. Do the math on that.

Re: 1/8 - MBB at Georgia State - 7pm
Opponents are already doing it. Notice how quickly Chad Moody gets fouled once he gets the ball down low. Opponents don’t worry too much about fouling our guards, either.

Re: We need a good offensive coordinator
I didn’t agree with every call Loggains made this season. I would have liked to have seen more full-bore, hurry-up offense in the third quarter in the bowl game, for example. But overall Loggains calls a good game. Not everybody on message boards is qualified to criticize play-calling. Last Monday, ...

https://twitter.com/tpelkey/status/2006769241350119935?s=46&t=UfUtPHfzYe5R3hJ5cku44g Interesting comments from another father of a player. And some more comments from an ex player/alumni I believe who seems to be in the know. That’s 2 outspoken parents as of late. Hmmm A parent/recruit would have t...

Re: Who’s going to Birmingham?
Schools that swim in our end of the pool don’t make money on bowl games. That’s been true for the last 30 years or so. The trick is not to lose money. I’m told we won’t lose money in Birmingham.

Re: Who’s going to Birmingham?
It made sense for the players to make their own arrangements to get to Birmingham. Unlike previous bowls played before Christmas, this time players will be scattered across the country spending the holidays with their families. It would have been extremely inconvenient for them to travel back to Boo...

Gillon and Wilson, two young guys who’ve shown loyalty to us at a time when that’s rare. Looking forward to seeing them perform.

Re: High Point in Hickory
Kerns’ best-coached game of the season. Pulled all the right strings in the final two minutes and overtime. Loved his rotation, too. Brim’s performance should not be overlooked. Plays solid defense. His offense will materialize with time. Dodd, Wilson and Jennings were masterful. Good complementary ...

Re: Could ACC be snubbed and SBC get in CFP?
A football NIT will come along if bowls go away...there will be too much dead TV air to fill Players will still opt out. With the portal window and players needing time to take visits, bowl games are pretty stupid now. The best thing to do is expand the playoff to 24 teams, give every conference an...

Re: Birmingham Bowl
I would like to add this Birmingham Bowl trophy to the trophy case. Looks sweet. I actually like Birmingham. I have heard the stadium is really nice and is downtown. For years the bowl game was played at Legion Field which was in poor shape and in a rough part of town. Going to try to make this one...
