Wonder what the attrition rate on season tickets were this year across the G6?
If I’m not mistaken, Gillin said to the BOT in their most recent meeting that the waiting list for App season tickets continues to grow.

Re: FBS to be split- Now we know why schools paid heavy prices to move up

It’s not fans’ jobs to know how the debt gets paid off. We’re not involved in planning, funding, approvals or construction. Asking that of fans and then saying “I knew you didn’t have an answer” is a red herring. Ask those questions of those with the power to do something about it. It is a good que...

Re: FBS to be split- Now we know why schools paid heavy prices to move up

I didnt really think apathy had set on for me but then I had a huge wakeup call last Thursday night when I came home and found my wife watching the VCU-UNC game (she is a VCU alum). It was at that moment that I realized I didn't even know the basketball tournament had started. Yeah, it’s getting ha...

It is my understanding that DG does indeed read social media so maybe he’d getting these suggestions.
DG reading social media is one thing. Actually being open to new ideas and taking action on them is another.
He typically has responded to emails.

Re: Birmingham Bowl

We had a chance last month and were too incompetent to line up correctly so the TD got called back. If they are going to play in this game then we better clean up the mistakes made against Arkansas State. A big reason to play is to get better so they better play a lot better this time. I was really...

Re: Could ACC be snubbed and SBC get in CFP?

The only bowl spot open is versus Georgia Southern in Birmingham on Monday, Dec. 29. We might be asked. We don't deserve it. Hope we don't get asked or turn it down if we are. How do you know what the players deserve? Seniors. Walk ons. Freshman. Backups. Would they not deserve an opportunity? Firs...

The optics of being asked and turning down a game against Georgia Southern would be very bad. To the Sun Belt and to recruiting.

We don't know if we've been asked yet. It's all fluid tonight.
This is such a silly post.

Re: Could ACC be snubbed and SBC get in CFP?

I think that’s $7.3M coming to the SBC from the CFP, and I believe it’s up to the conferences how that money is distributed- anyone know how Gill would plan to divvy it up?

Re: New JMU Head Coach Billy Napier

Napier to JMU doesn’t really worry me, as long as he continues to call the offense. Sun Belt coaches never really thought Napier was all that good with the X’s and O’s, it was the resources ULL provided that allowed him to build out his operation there and have success. No doubt JMU will give him th...

Re: Mid-season halfway point grade?

Finding a way to win the Oregon State game felt like a turning point in the season at the time to me, yesterday’s performance has me feeling like that may have indeed been the case. This roster was still churning well into August and has continued into the season. Feels like both sides of the ball a...

Can we give a true freshman more than 6 games into his freshman season before talking about “concern”. My goodness, it’s not like he was a 5 star recruit fellas.

Re: Game day Operations

Or we could have one fund that only gives 100% to scholarships and one fund that goes to pay coaches, enhance facilities, etc. The idea of giving to fund a scholarship vs. the other aspects is pure to some. Think of it as endowing an academic scholarship vs. giving to the general fund. Lots of dono...

Re: Game day Operations

Adding extra cost, like $5 more for an aisle seat in the East deck that I have had since the deck opened? That was just one of many things, that has been hard to swallow. Being moved from Duncan when we were told the creek under it was being "day lighted", moving to Blue Ridge Lot and paying A LOT ...

Re: The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly

It is game 1, but what we saw are the results of a coaching staff that knows what they are doing. Big turn around from what we've had. I had no idea of what to expect, but all of the coaching experience that we were told about matters. It's early but our coach may not be around long in the single A...

Re: Game Notes vs Charlotte and game discussion

Not saying this is a perfect team by any means, but I watched a decent amount of Sun Belt over the weekend. There’s no reason this team can’t compete for the Sun Belt title this season. Regardless of opponent, this team passes the eye test in a way the last few App teams did not.

Appreciate AJ getting back to calling balls and strikes for this staff and how we are approaching various aspects of the program. Much better than the apology hour each week the last three years. While I agree I'd like to have more information leading up to the game, I have to wonder how much the n...

Re: Swann starter

IF there isn't a QB1 yet and it's still a race for 3 QBs, that's awesome, my opinion. That "should" mean we got 3 great QBs fighting for the starting job. Swann shouldn't have any issue with the teams we play this year. He did start for Vandy and played the SEC schedule. I like we have 3 guys fight...

Re: Swann starter

I feel like it's all fluff. They were telling HS coaches it was Swann deep into the summer. Either something happened, Kohl stepped up big time or DLo is just using coach speak. I'm with 94, we've got a couple that can do it though. It would be cool to see a goal line package with Kohl if we can bl...
