Re: 2026 Baseball Mega Thread
There have been a bunch of big upsets in this tournament already. UCLA , GT, UF, FSU to name a few. Troy will have a really good shot at making it to Omaha.

Perhaps his academic profile is worse than even UNC was expecting. Pure speculation on my part.

Re: 100 DAYS!!!!!!!!!!
I've been waiting for this for a few days now, figured it had to be coming soon. I hadn't done the math yet, but it just felt about time. Thanks for doing this every GAS, it really helps get through the dog days of summer.

NASCAR driver Kyle Busch died from severe pneumonia that progressed into sepsis, according to a statement provided by the Busch family. https://www.espn.com/racing/nascar/story/_/id/48852216/family-says-kyle-busch-died-severe-pneumonia-sepsis Crazy that a 41 year old would die of pneumonia to sepsi...

Re: 2026 Baseball Mega Thread
This season was a great success. Finishing third in the Sun Belt is not an easy task, proved by the fact that we have never done it before. I know he has been here a minute now, but Kermit seems to be building the right way, especially the past handful of years. I think he uses the transfer portal a...

Satt notified his QB bet on his own games
These articles claim that Cincinnati was notified last August that their QB, Sorsby, had placed bets on his former team (Indiana) while he was a player. Admittedly, he was not on the travel squad for IU and did not participate in any games he bet on, but nonetheless, UC was told and one would have t...

Re: 2026 Baseball Mega Thread
Losing 8 of the last 12, including 4 straight would not be a meltdown? That's comical.. we split our last 4 series. Two wins, two losses, including a sweep of Stink. The other "loss" was to Wake Forest .. 18th in RPI.. Nice try to label it a meltdown... Kermit piss on your cornflakes in another lif...

Re: 2026 Team Previews
We don't need to be paying buyouts. If it is so bad that he has to go this year then Gillin should be gone as well. I really hope they don't rush and fire Loggains in 2026 unless they have cause. I would say a losing record against peer schools is sufficient cause to fire him. If he can't get this ...

He might surprise some people there if his head is on straight. I don't think it has ever been an issue of his "head being on straight", he just processes things differently. It isn't about ability or perceived effort with Dalton, it is about dealing with struggles that most of us don't have to dea...

That is really awesome and I am so happy for him. Wonder how much the SEC will pay him next year. Hope he wins it all for App State this year because it is doubtful he will be here next here.

Re: 2026 Baseball Mega Thread
I have to say that after the exodus of talent last year, I was not very hopeful. 30 wins is very impressive, Kermit is doing very good things. I have been disappointed at times but I really think we need to give him an extension. He's earned it this year in my eyes.

Never underestimate the power of jealousy, everyone at the G6 level wishes they were JMU the last few years and everyone at the P4 level wishes they were Indiana. NIL and The Transfer Portal has hurt the perennial powers more than it has hurt the little guys. I guess it depends on who you consider ...

Re: Offseason thread: recruiting, transfer portal schedule, general discussion
Who makes more, CJ Huntley at $225k for the Suns or Wilson, backup center at Syracuse? Madness. My money would be on Wilson. NIL is out of control when players make more in college than the pros. Does anyone think that Carsen Beck will make 4 million this year if he makes an NFL team? I doubt he do...

Re: Time for the App State Football SPRING GAME?
There was scant talk of the game leading up to it and even less now that it is over. Has apathy already sat in? Just a few years ago most would have done anything for a spring game, now it seems an afterthought.

Re: Executive Order for College Sports
I don’t fully understand why we’re going back and forth on non competes in corporate America. College football has turned into a professional sport, and that’s really the only comparison you need. Women’s soccer, nfl, mlb, nba, etc… all have contracts; most of which are multi year where they can on...
