Re: 2026 Team Previews
How do I even know if I should or shouldn't disagree with this prediction? A team of guys that have largely never played together, that joined because we offered them the most money, that'll leave the moment they get a better offer. How endearing. How will they mesh? I dunno. I'll watch, I but I won...

Re: G6 Playoff
I was firmly against this until NIL and the portal came into existence. Completely changed my mind.
Give me the G6 playoff yesterday.

Re: Apps In The Pros Mega Thread
We used to be able to look at the depth chart and know pretty much what the roster would look like the following year. I can’t recall when it was exactly but not that long ago we had a solid offensive line that had starters who were sophomores. I think we had maybe a 3 year run with the same guys. ...

Re: Apps In The Pros Mega Thread
So have we had any App State players signed as UDFA’s?
If not, when is the last time that happened?

Re: Portal time 25-26
The plan at Qb is a dude who couldn’t get on the field at Purdue? It was a thought that crossed my mind as well, but reality is this is our market. And someone coach and some of our players has familiarity with. He’s also mobile. Here’s his game versus Washington. I like some of what I see. https:/...

Re: Birmingham Bowl
Some of yall are crazy. How can you question a coach’s talent evaluation when you look at results? App played literally the same team twice, once with starters and once with mostly 3-4th string guys. The starters lost by 2, the backups lost by 19. Wilson and a couple other players showed some flash...

Re: Birmingham Bowl
I’ll ask the same question, I asked weeks ago and never saw a decent response. Outside of DJ’s defense, where did we improve this year in season? What mistakes did we stop making? You can say we didn’t have the horses, but part of the job is development and improvement. This group was together cont...

Re: Birmingham Bowl
Somebody had to bring up Kane Brown. 😵💫🤪 True enough. MJ thought he was gonna be all world. Haha I’m just some bozo so I can/have/will be wrong. Definitely more than right. I wasn’t even picking on Stonewall there, there’s just a long distinguished list of elite level players who were awful once t...

Re: Birmingham Bowl
Someone who played the position tells me that Wilson showed more than enough yesterday to prove that giving up on him was a huge mistake by the staff. He has the arm of a D3 QB. That’s not what we are going for. I trust the Hall of Famer. Michael Jordan also thought Kwame Brown was going to be a su...

Re: Birmingham Bowl
My biggest disappointment is the starting QB at the end of the season (Kohl) and 20 some other portal players were not willing to play in the bowl game. I commend the players that did. State of college football sucks at our level. Nuff said. I do not like when legitimate NFL prospects opt out, thou...

Re: Birmingham Bowl
It was always the right decision to play this game. Everyone involved should be commended for it. The players that decided to play, mostly. They played hard and put in the effort. I'm proud of them. This game showed once more that the offensive play caller is a hinderance to this program. Dowell ne...

Re: Birmingham Bowl
Shawn Clark (God rest his soul) would have produced a better result than DL. THIS year. Shawn Clark wouldn’t have had to rebuild, and App would’ve won maybe 2-3 more games. App admin rolled the dice that a new coach, after an adjustment period, could make App better. Think of it this way, if you we...

Re: Birmingham Bowl
Im just gonna say. Where the F has Wilson been. With our QB struggles its insane we didn't give this guy some snaps. If he was running the practice squad then the coaching staff knew he could do this and didn't even try it in games. I think what this shows is that money talks more than talent. The ...
