Re: Luke Combs

I don’t think Luke Combs’ comments are killing our program, per se, but he has quite the platform, and the more people share that defeatist viewpoint the more it comes true, because why would you donate if you feel that way. I find it to be a lazy, obtuse, fair weather fan take, probably stemming f...

Re: Luke Combs

Yep. And JMU’s total athletic budget is only marginally larger thanks to student fees. Our revenue streams are bigger in every other respect. Once this new NC gambling NIL $ starts flowing we will be in position to outbid any conference team easily. We will have better seasons soon and when we do pe...

Re: Luke Combs

PFT Commenter and whatever other famous JMU alums exist aren't on the airwaves announcing refusals to donate and calling for D-2ing their football team just because the current portal anarchy is objectively sh!tty. They just went to the CFP. Troy fans aren't doing that either. (Does Troy have any fa...

Re: Luke Combs

Would have been something if Luke did what the guy did at NCSU graduation the other day- paid off everyone’s senior debt in that school of textiles . Wow Luke Combs' net worth is $20Mil according to google. Anil Kockhar (the NCSU debt pay guy) is closer to $250 Million according to ai. What we need...

Re: Gold out vs coastal

For this particular issue, I’d say being an App fan (of any age group) has more of a correlation with being whiney and entitled, than being “old.”

Riley is what, like 28 or something?

Somebody call Gillin and make sure they’ve got something suitable planned to honor NewApp during the Coastal game.

I can settle this. Re: Gold out vs coastal

Well, it's official. Gold out. Riley did it again. 1 kid somehow convincing a whole Athletic department. Don't know if it was just him as there were others. As passionate as he is, he acts on every impulsive idea, doesn't listen to others and is convinced everyone against him are just boomers who w...

Re: Gold out vs coastal

Wearing just a t-shirt in mid-October in Boone? No thanks. Gotta have body hair like that guy who used to shave the block A into his back to pull that off ASU Hairy guy. One of my best friends. He donned it at UNCC/App opener and got on the jumbotron. The back and the A keeps getting wider and wide...

Re: NewApp, aka JCline Passes

Oh man. Thats really sad. I have some really funny memories messing with him back when I was on here way too often. I got some all-time DMs from him for sure.

Surreal to see his photo and read the obituary. I’m fascinated and saddened to read about the man behind the mask.

Re: QB depth chart for Boise

My anecdotal App State observations over the past 3 years have me convinced that fall camp performance is the worst QB assessment metric on earth. Clark chose Burger of Aguilar. I've seen Burger play once since that first start, LU's bowl game, and it was the worst QB play I've ever seen in my life....

I stopped doing them because it made me feel kind of racist some times. Then I stopped posting on here for like 5 years, obviously.

These are great.

Re: The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly

I'm not trying to besmirch the Clark regime, per se, but even looking outside of the massive improvements we've clearly made after replacing them reveal just how unfit those guys really were. Joey Dimes had an outstanding debut at Rocky Top. Scot with one T's Lil Sammy Bull dogs got absolutely domin...

https://twitter.com/RudolphDou57845/status/1958144486099591520 I am highly suspicious of this account. Broken link in the bio. Joined August 2025. Fake looking picture and nothing on Google with this dude's name. I bet this ends up being true, but better sources are saying the QB battle is still ra...

I think they pander to this "huge alumni base" in Charlotte who don't contribute or engage in App athletics. Hope it works out for them. I agree though, it's better in Boone. not sure why in quotes. Mecklenburg county is our largest contingent of alumni, Its also where a fair amount of our unaffili...

Re: UNCC Mayo Kickoff game now Friday

It's ridiculous that we don't have seat assignments yet. Really makes me hesitate to purchase away game tickets from the YC. I bought as soon as they allowed hoping I'd get good seats. I still may, but the delay in issuing tickets makes me think otherwise. Power 5 fan base, FCS booster/ticketing st...
