Re: G6 Playoff
Those in power only want to do right by the schools and conferences that will make them the most money. They don’t care about the conferences that lose something when changes happen. That is the problem. If they said we’re changing the college football playoff and we’re gonna build you a tournament ...

Re: July 25 2026 Stadium Concert - Jon Pardi
Gotta put that stadium to use in the off season! Clemson had over 90,000 there for George Strait a week ago. They made an absolute fortune.

Re: Executive Order for College Sports
At least someone is attempting use common sense. Imagine someone told you if you wanted to switch jobs you would have to sit out a year first. Imagine a group of people who are about free market pushing a law that limits the abilities of the labor to earn more money. Imagine a group of people who b...

Re: Offseason thread: recruiting, transfer portal schedule, general discussion
I hate all of this. I'd love for Luke to stay, but to your point Kerns was also interviewing for another job...so maybe he entered the portal thinking his coach was out the door too.

Re: FBS to be split- Now we know why schools paid heavy prices to move up
While i believe contracts are in the future, just remember, once it goes down the path of contracts there is no going back. Its a professional league. Now we are talking unions, personal health care insurance, sick leave, days off, labor laws, etc.... contracts might rein in the wild west transfer ...

Re: Hubert Davis to NC State...
I'm no UNC apologist or fan, but any coach that goes .698 overall and .694 in ACC play is a pretty dang good coach.

Re: Hubert Davis to NC State...
Hey if Dustin Kerns take the CofC job, let's make a run at Hubert. He'd be getting paid by UNC while elevating App. Win/Win.

Re: Hubert Davis to NC State...
It would be amusing (pending the results) but what’s really funny is Rick Pitino saying NC State and UNC are basically equal now. You know that had to ruffle some feathers.

Because the alternative is a massive lawsuit from the 6 non-autonomous conferences. Not saying it’s a strong enough case to force their hand, but it’d be the card they should play.

Re: FBS to be split- Now we know why schools paid heavy prices to move up
It’s worth remembering that this board is the vocal minority. In sales, it’s a fact that 80% of your headaches will come from 20% of your clients. They’ll be the ones raising a stink about every little detail. When 35,000 fill Kidd Brewer 6 Saturdays a year, only about 25 of them have ever complaine...

Re: FBS to be split- Now we know why schools paid heavy prices to move up
It’s not fans’ jobs to know how the debt gets paid off. We’re not involved in planning, funding, approvals or construction. Asking that of fans and then saying “I knew you didn’t have an answer” is a red herring. Ask those questions of those with the power to do something about it.

Re: FBS to be split- Now we know why schools paid heavy prices to move up
My 3 concerns if this does in fact happen… 1. Can App afford to spend enough to be competitive against the top G5 programs? 2. Will ESPN as the rights holders promote it as its own entity or just use it as a way to market the P4 league? 3. Will whoever runs it, whether it’s NCAA or a new standalone ...

Re: Luke Combs
Look, I’m as frustrated as the rest of you about the state of CFB, but to suggest our school leave a conference that was purpose built to be perfect for US because you miss beating up on Elon and playing in front of 16,000 is lunacy. We may end back up in a new look FCS anyway if the “G5 should have...

Re: Luke Combs
Luke can go put on baby blue for all I care now. He didn’t even graduate. Well this is just a dumb take Why? App gave Eric turncoat Church every opportunity to be the celebrity face of the program, let him sell his merch line at KBS, and he defected to UNC…and he actually holds a degree from App. W...

WCU with another nice win against UGA after already beating Troy and ECU. Wonder if the weather and money is that much better in Cullowhee? Why not App? Careful, questioning the excuses about weather, elevation, and others in our region finding regular success while we struggle is not allowed here.

Look, I like Dustin. He’s the best coach we’ve had in a long time but his team’s have a personality. Awful at free throws. Awful at 3 pointers. Shoots way too many of both.

Re: MBB @ TXSt 02/27/26
Biggest game of the season and we’re just bricking 3’s without even trying to get the ball inside. This is hard to watch.
