Better start hydrating now for high noon in G-Vegas.
There are times when "no" is the correct answer. No matter the perceived cost.

Our man Luke could fill it up again. I'd like to see Whiskey Meyers or Treaty Oak come up. IDK if they'd fill it up though.

Re: July 25 2026 Stadium Concert - Jon Pardi

Ticket prices for concerts in general have gotten ridiculous. Red Rocks was an eye opening experience for ticket prices the last time I was in Denver area..Elected not to go as cheapest ticket was like $350 to $400 per ticket. I rationalized that Spotify was good enough. We are going out to Denver ...

We get more funding if we reduce student debt. We could reduce student debt if we could get more funding.

Re: Roster/Staff Updates

Money doesn’t matter if you’re working 90 hours a week doing the job of 5 people. That kind of thinking creates burnout and turnover. I'm not suggesting that we work 2 people to death. We already have high turnover because of low pay. If these hires are any good they won't stay in Boone more than 2...

Re: Executive Order for College Sports

I don’t fully understand why we’re going back and forth on non competes in corporate America. College football has turned into a professional sport, and that’s really the only comparison you need. Women’s soccer, nfl, mlb, nba, etc… all have contracts; most of which are multi year where they can on...

Re: FBS to be split- Now we know why schools paid heavy prices to move up

Wrong thread but the Luke Combs scenario of enforceable contracts with buyout clauses solves a lot of issues. I'd suggest up to 75% of the contract paid into an escrow account to be forfeited if the contract is broken. If a P6 wants the player bad enough, they buy out the escrow too, which funds the...

Re: FBS to be split- Now we know why schools paid heavy prices to move up

I think App's doing OK. They are taking on debt but are servicing it and paying players on par with their regional competition. They aren't 'Bama and probably don't want to be, but they do compete in the conference. I hate the disparity and that we likely won't ever compete for a National Championsh...

I have a paper weight or something sitting on my desk right now, not sure where that came from but it has my graduation year on it. Haven't seen much else. Wife is making me walk in Dec (assuming I finish then) so maybe I'll look around while up there for all those festivities. I'm looking at mine ...

We used to have a section for this type of stuff. You could opt in. It didn’t work. Or maybe it did, and I’m not a part of it anymore.
It didn’t.
we should try it again. Everyone who opts in gets banned for a year.

I’ve never understood what half of those coaching jobs are. What does the Quality Control guy actually do? Anything that the coaches above them ask, essentially. Prep, recruiting, planning, drills, laundry, food. It’s an entry level job similar to other industries that require you to do a lot of th...
