Re: Offseason thread: recruiting, transfer portal schedule, general discussion
Yah agree would've been nice to keep him. I'm slightly surprised our NIL budget wasn't competitive with George Mason. I imagine they're higher with A10's revshare / conference profile, but not terribly so. Any updates with Luke and UCLA? I see the content on their message board about his visit, but ...

Re: Offseason thread: recruiting, transfer portal schedule, general discussion
Is there any possibility of Tot staying? The JUCO rules have changed so many times it's damn tough to follow, but I'd love to see him back paired with someone running point.

Re: Offseason thread: recruiting, transfer portal schedule, general discussion
Is there any potential that Tot would stick around for another season if the JUCO eligibility rules changes? Hoping we keep Banks, I think that injury early in the season was a tougher recovery then some realise, and his shooting was really starting to get back to his historical average by season end.

Re: MBB @ JMU 2/14 4pm
On Kerns, we'd be absolutely insane to switch up. I know it's not the best execuse but in a couple of these late stretches previously we've had a myriad of challenges (injuries, illnesses, etc). Don't forget that long-ass spell out of the tournament prior to Kerns (with several other teams during th...

Re: Sun Belt Tournament 2026
Worst half of the year. The only positive is somehow being down 16 when it could’ve been worse. Hoping we can come out with more energy in the second half…

Re: #4 seed in Pensacola
ESPN has all three "analysts" projecting Arkansas St pulling out a win. I don't disagree they ended the season strong but I'd be shocked if they ran five straight. Other then the Akron win (which tbf was solid) Troy hasn't won against a good opponent since late January. This feels quite a bit like t...

Re: #4 seed in Pensacol
Yah about as lucky a draw as we could hope for. Agree that skipping out on Marshall is great.
We're gonna need more minutes from our bench to win three straight.

NotNothing has a really good scenario breakdown tool: https://bball.notnothing.net/bracket_cloud.php?conf=sunbeltm Win Out / All Things Even = #2 Seed Playing South Alabama or Worse Win Out + Marshall Loss = #1 Seed Playing Marshall or Worse Technically there are some scenarios where App can still g...

Re: MBB vs Stink 2/21 1pm
Good win. Bit choppy but closed out strong.
Texas St & Marshall losing is also a great start to the evening. I believe a Troy loss tonight and a App win Sunday locks up the #2 seed or higher.

Re: MBB vs Marsha 2/19 6:30pm
Coastal dropping last night helps out a bit on a few edge case tiebreakers. ULM came very close to knocking off Troy which would've been nice but oh well. As it stands a win tonight positions the team really, really well for a Top 2 seed. It's quite likely a win tonight and Saturday locks up a Top 2...

Re: MBB @ JMU 2/14 4pm
If we go 2-1, we’ll likely have a top 2 seed. There are some scenarios where we’d fall to a 3 or 4. Also, if we do go 2-1, S Alabama would have to go 4-1 to finish above us, but they have 3 games in 6 days against Marshall, Troy and Texas State. I have a feeling their winning percentage is going to...

Re: MBB @ Stink 2/11 8:00pm
Great to see them keep rolling. Kerns has done a great job with this team, better and better each and every week. Hope they're looking at another extension... Troy loss obviously helps, but tbh Marshall losing would've been even better since they fare well in most tiebreakers. Regardless App in firs...

Re: MBB vs Eastern Michigan 2/7 1pm est
I'm emboldened that the defense has continued to improve (EMU aside) the games against Troy & South Alabama the defense was great. The offense is actually better then last year and situationally has been solid as of late. If the team can close out conference play strong they'll have a Top 2 seed so ...

Hopefully an opportunity to give a few bench players some more minutes and see if we can get another guard contributing before the tournament.

Re: MBB vs S. Alabama 2/4 6:30 PM
Great win. Glad that Marshall game is at home since we might be playing for a Top 2 seed. It looks like in a few scenarios that three straight and the team (with some lucky breaks) could lock up the #2 spot.

Re: MBB @ Troy 4:30 pm 1/31
If I could wish for one improvement to our offense: Recognize what we’re good at. Dodd and Banks aren’t particularly good 3-point shooters but they’re all-conference quality at getting to the rim. Jennings has his moments from beyond 3 but his best asset is that baby jumper from 10 feet. He not bad...

Re: MBB @ Southern Miss 1/29 8pm
The defense continues to improve and the FT shooting was good last game.
I agree we could really use one more to turn to on the bench but not sure that’ll happen.

How did Wilson pick up a 4th foul, he was no where near the contact on that possession…
Refs are calling it poorly both ways but still…
