Re: 2026 Baseball Mega Thread
Also saw that the four freshmen of the year from ULL said today, that all four will return to ULL. Good for them. Hopefully we’ll keep our kids too.

Re: 2026 Baseball Mega Thread
After spending some hours comparing the five teams that got in the regionals to Apps, using the Warren Nolan site, what T-dog and others said is that you have schedule a better more competitive schedule….. but what would that look like? 1- goal is to have a SOS of at least 30 ( not 113) 2- need to s...

Re: 2026 Baseball Mega Thread
Ok let’s talk some about Kam. Overall it appears that since his return from his injury, he is not back to where he was last season. He is mostly hitting in the DH spot ( that actually might be part of it). Last season he had a much better BA. He walked at a much higher rate. Since he’s been back I t...

Re: 2026 Baseball Mega Thread
It bugs the crap out of me, how many strikes we take. You need to be aggressive at the plate. I guess the saving grace today is Troy beating SOAL…. we may not lose ground in conference.

Re: 2026 Baseball Mega Thread
Yes, when playing high RPI teams with good pitching, you still have to be aggressive at the plate……. these pitchers with a three-to-one to strikeout to walk ratio will almost always be around the strike zone….. be aggressive! And shame on Kam for letting a fastball go by without a swing with the bas...

Re: 2026 Baseball Mega Thread
Yes 311, and we still dropped one spot from 97 to 98……lots of craziness with the RPI system.

Re: 2026 Baseball Mega Thread
Bamboo, actually late season averages are pretty reliable…. you are who you are. It’s way early in the season where the can be deceiving. On another issue I am seeing a little trend that’s concerning…. in our last two series, in the third game…. which typically will be a big hitting day because you ...

Re: 2026 Baseball Mega Thread
I think we’ll match up well with ULL. Their team BA is .264 ours is .319…. their team era is around 4.8 ours is about 5.45…… it’ll all come down to individual match-ups. They are a very good fielding team. If our starting pitching can perform to their averages, we’ll be fine. I’ll be disappointed if...

Re: 2026 Baseball Mega Thread
While past games were lost opportunities, Wake at #23, Troy at #59 and ULL at #53 will give us more opportunity to make a climb and so will our tourney.

Re: Apps In The Pros Mega Thread
Yea I would think Cummings will get a chance when he’s more healthy. He reminds me a lot of Isaiah Likely from Coastal a few years ago.

Re: 2026 Baseball Mega Thread
This should be a winnable series if we have at least average performances. Hitting were very similar, pitching we are about a run per game better and fielding were a little behind but as we get some of our starters back, let’s hope we improve. Nothing scares me about Marshall … this is a winnable se...

Re: 2024-25 Roster Breakdown & Wishlist
311, just be clear on Wilson, he averaged 28 min. per game and 10.5 points per game and 8.5 rebounds and a couple blocks per game. With his size and rebounding ability... he is certainly attractive for a high mid-major or lower P4 and could get paid and at least two yrs of eligibility. I do agree wi...

Re: 2026 Baseball Mega Thread
I guess I spoke too soon about the schedule… thanks 94. It looks like Marshall is a good hitting team but bad pitching team (almost 7 era) two runs worse than ours so that should be in our favor. We’ll need good starts from starters…. due to all innings pitched by relievers this past weekend.

Re: 2026 Baseball Mega Thread
Yea gave game away with 7 free bases(4 bb 3 hbp) and USM 5 xtra basehits (3 doubles and 2 hr)….. and we had one double. They had much better pitching yesterday. On the good side, we made the routine plays defensively with no errors. Also appears we are getting some of our missing pieces back so that...

Re: Pro Day on March 25th
Those days are gone when we had tons of scouts….. it went away with the advent of Rev-share and nil…….when a player is quasi good…they’re gone… so they’ll be here for a season or two (if we’re lucky) the at P4 and that’s where the scouts will be. Pretty much we’ve seen the end of someone breaking an...
