Re: 2026 Team Previews

English teacher, hmmm. Logic was sound, I mentioned your point in my post and a better way of how the money should have been utilized. In addition the results are proof, when did the inflection point occur? When the coaches got paid, when the stadium were upgraded, or when the players of certain pr...

Re: July 25 2026 Stadium Concert - Jon Pardi

Like Tom Petty said, modern cou try is just bad rock with a fiddle. I completely agree. Most of the country music today is just watered down rock with a twang. That's kind of ironic, because I think if Tom Petty were to just be starting in today's popular music world, he'd be pigeonholed as country...

Less than stellar predictions for the boys. I know it's just a crappy, superficial look, but it still hurts to see. https://collegefootballnews.com/college-football/app-state-mountaineers-college-football-preview-2026 https://collegefootballnews.com/college-football/sun-belt-football-rankings-sprin...

Re: Luke Combs

Kind of weird they seem to only do the individual schools ceremonies now instead of one big commencement. Seems with some of them being on Thursday and Friday during the day makes it harder for some to attend. My wife wants me to walk in December but it looks like it'll probably be at like 3pm on a...

Re: Roster/Staff Updates

The high school kids these days seem to be getting into better music than the generation before them. Many of them are listening to grunge/alternative/indie rock from the 90's. And they all like AC/DC. Let's get back in Back in Black. It's weird how high school kids don't listen to current music. L...

Re: 2026 Baseball Mega Thread

What is ABS? It stands for "Automated Ball-Strike Challenge System" (so shouldn't it be ABSCS?) It's being used in MLB right now. The batter, pitcher, or catcher can challenge a ball or strike call if they disagree. Not sure how the SEC will handle it, but MLB puts limits on how often you can chall...

With the transfer portal and NIL and all, he won't be there long. Too much talent. Makes you wonder how he ended up at LR in the first place. Character issues? Grades?

We beat The Stink, again! But how'd we let JMU and Marshall donate more to charity than us?!

We're beating The Stink, but JMU is ahead and ULM is leading the conference!?!?!

EDSBS Charity Bowl

I know that a few folks on this site used to read the Every Day Should Be Saturday blog and listen to the Shutdown Fullcast podcast (If you don't, you should). They are starting their annual charity drive right now! The charity helps New American Pathways, an Atlanta based non-profit that provides a...

We've strayed so far from the purpose of an education. There's so much money tied up in it. As an educator, it kinda sucks.

Gawgia got spanked. Abson didn't make a huge splash, but he was FAR more efficient in his few minutes than the guys who got to play a lot longer. I've been following UGA since I'm in grad school there. IMO Abson was criminally underused while Blue Cain got 30 minutes of cardio every night. Lotta da...

I know it can be hard to filter out politics at times, but if you go actually look at most of Chris Swecker's appearances on Fox News, very few of them include any editorializing. He's a former associate director of the FBI. CNN, CNBC, C-Span, and Fox News have all interviewed him at times to provid...
