The So Miss environment is fantastic. IF we were ever at that level could we replicate it ? Would have to be in Hickory. Elsewhere, upsets are brewing.
Hickory would make it so much easier to get folks from CLT and The Triad involved. Way more butts in seats.

Historically speaking, the purpose of a “liberal arts education” was to create a well-rounded individual who was subjected to a wide variety of educational subjects, taught critical thinking skills and a capacity to effectively reason and argue/debate from a reasoned perspective. Many distinguished ...

Better start hydrating now for high noon in G-Vegas. The last time in Gville was stroke level heat and I was still playing a fair amount of basketball back then. Hottest game I have ever been to... It was horrific. A young guy behind us had seizures from dehydration that day. Wouldn’t be surprised ...

NASCAR driver Kyle Busch died from severe pneumonia that progressed into sepsis, according to a statement provided by the Busch family. https://www.espn.com/racing/nascar/story/_/id/48852216/family-says-kyle-busch-died-severe-pneumonia-sepsis Crazy that a 41 year old would die of pneumonia to sepsi...

Re: 2026 Baseball Mega Thread

App definitely accomplished some good things this year. An argument can be made that we should be kicking back and celebrating their success with a 2-liter Sun Country wine cooler bottle. But like it or not, a flat end to the season plus tournament struggles do color many fans’ perspective of App’s ...

Re: UNCG, UNCW, UNCC All get more money from Raleigh

This is an interesting conversation. I may be wrong, but I’m still pessimistic about the chances of App being awarded a medical school.
If it does happen, it will radically change the character of Boone/Watauga County. Many people won’t be happy with the changes.

Re: Satt notified his QB bet on his own games

These articles claim that Cincinnati was notified last August that their QB, Sorsby, had placed bets on his former team (Indiana) while he was a player. Admittedly, he was not on the travel squad for IU and did not participate in any games he bet on, but nonetheless, UC was told and one would have ...

As some perceptive folks here have pointed out, US higher education is in serious financial straits and many people don’t fully understand how bad this situation has become. Anthony Bradley shared specifics in his...

It’s heartbreaking to witness to the slow death of college athletics when many student athletes still do it for the a chance to get an education and the love of the game, not for a paycheck. I hate it for them.

Due to a combo of results from Friday, App is officially locked into the 3 seed due to winning every potential tiebreaker.

Winning and losing has always been the main thing; now it’s the only thing. The days when fans wanted to build relationships with coaches and players and cared about their wellbeing is all bit gone. The human element is disappearing and it’s a tragedy rarely mentioned in TP/NIL discussions…here or a...

Re: G6 Playoff

GP playoff and bowls outside of CFP are just for partying. A lot of players are opting out of bowls and some even CFP games because they view it in their own personal interest. That make bowls merely a pride thing and an opportunity to go party. Let's just call them what they are. There is nothing ...

Kind of weird they seem to only do the individual schools ceremonies now instead of one big commencement. The ones I would pay for at that price are dead.
