Re: The J Cline Memorial Celebrity Obituaries
Claude Lemieux. 4x Stanley Cup winner. Age 60. He carried the torch in Montreal for Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals this past Monday night. He brought the Stanley Cup to Boone on his day with the Cup back in the 1990s. He married a gal from “Henson Hollar” (Vilas/sugar Grove). Had recently ...

Re: 2026 Baseball Mega Thread
Having watched this team closely down the stretch I’m convinced La is best team in the conference at this time.BambooRdApp wrote: ↑Wed May 20, 2026 3:41 pmLaLa up 10-7 over. Beach Chickens in 7th.
Under rain delay. If LaLa holds on, that will be winning 3 of 4 against Beach Chickens, a top 25 team. They are playing well.

Re: 2026 Baseball Mega Thread
Been watching this team get better and better. They can really hit. Fielding has drastically improved and the pitching is so much better it cannot be measured. Power is average but that’s ok when the whole lineup hits so well. Team speed has costs us runs, we are slow, but again the way we hit the b...

His bio says he’s from Ottumwa Iowa. That’s where the character Radar on MASH was from. Hope he’s good enough to be called Radar!!

A great friend, mentor, and Mountaineer, went to heaven April 15th. How fitting for an accounting major to leave on Tax Day! David will be missed on earth but lives in our hearts. https://www.elkinfuneralservice.com/obituaries/david-steelman God Bless his family. Always sad to lose a Mountaineer. P...

Re: Luke Combs
On the contractual idea, I am with Luke 100%. Not sure how contractually it would work, my comment on a thread on YC a long time ago was related to multi year contracts. If I had enough funds to fund several players for nil, I would want a contract that would be multi-year. Player does not get all ...

Re: Sun Belt Tournament 2026
I believe Bobby Cremins to be our all time best. He inherited the worst program we had fielded in 75 years. Becam championship level in a short time. DK is second or third behind him. As to all of you suggesting more money, send it in. Or demand a shift in priorities away from football. Someone las...

Re: Sun Belt Tournament 2026
Of course, we had 18 wins with 5 games to go. So, in a way 19 wins is a disappointment. While I agree with “disappointment “ let’s Remember, two of those wins came against VA. Lynchburg and Carolina University. Put that together with losses to Felon, Mercer and UNCA, making this a bad season not ju...

Re: MBB @ TXSt 02/27/26
Really bad. The sad part is that this is pretty much the same bad that’s been around since Kerns arrived. Ugly to non-existent offensive coordination, free throw’s, simple inbounds plays. Win some , lose some, that’s what we got! Hard to build fan support and attendance under this type of operation.

Re: MBB vs Marsha 2/19 6:30pm
I’m still not over the botched inbounds play against Wake Forest several years ago. Last night was like reliving that nightmare all over again. We burned too many timeouts on inbounds plays early that would have come in handy in the closing minutes. These plays have been going on for all the Kerns ...
