It’s been discussed some in the roster/staff thread. He’s basically an alumi liaison. Speculation that he could be head coach in waiting for when DLo makes the playoffs this year and leaves for higher paying job.

After he/we wins the CFP.....Wilks will be the next coach, after the tarheels poach DLo and the tarheels go 0-13 with DLo the next year. DLo will not have Yosef's Cabin to get the knowledge/insite that we on Yosef's Cabin provide for him when he is coaching the tarheels.

The rational above makes perfect sense. You cannot say that Steve Wilks does not understand the culture. He was there at the ICE BOWL against Georgia Southern in 1987. The only odd thing is he was a Tight End then. Number 87.
