I hate to move Marks to Sunday, but we probably have to. I like Marks on Tuesday, feel like he could improve our Tuesday record from prior years.

Until we get into conference play, a competitive game on Tuesday against significantly better competition is more important than throwing one of our weekend-quality pitchers on Sunday.

Good thing is it looks like we have Marks Tibbett and DiRito as options to fill Sunday and Tuesday.

A little worried about or baths this year. We’re not exactly hitting bad pitching to start.

I think we'll be fine once Zamora gets going. He's left a ton of guys on, but we all know what he can do. The young catchers have also been struggling at the plate, but Walker has had a good day in first game of the year. Maybe it's finally his time to shine.

Xuereb’s inability to turn a double play proving costly in the top of the seventh. 8-6 App with SIU still batting.

No reason to not let Clark pitch the 8th after getting out of a jam in the 7th.
Interesting bringing the closer in for 6 outs.

Pull him. You can’t throw your closer for 6 outs this early in the season.

What happened?

It looks like we won in B9 but the live stream ended at exactly the 4 hour mark. I can't believe we have a setup to automatically cut the feed after a certain amount of time.

A win is a win!

Could be 0-7…could be way worse.

I did not like the usage of our bullpen today - 1 out for Wilson, 1 for Clark, and wanting your closer to go 2 innings. Too much stress on your staff when you do that.

It's ridiculous to lose the feed in the 9th inning like that also.

I did like that we got the win, and that's what matters in the end.

Easy Teezy is also 6-1, with only loss to VA Tech.

Haha my neighbor is tearing down their house so I thought they cut the ATT cable. I went out to check when the feed went black!
Fooled me.

Glad we got the W. Would love to see the single? bunt? to 3rd that won it.

A sweep!
Beat ETSU.

Yep, it cut out right at 5 p.m. with a runner on first.

Some bullpen guys are too cute with their off-speed stuff. Just throw strikes and by baseball averages, it'll work 70% of the time.

It was a swing but a short popup in the infield

Coldest baseball game I've ever attended. The wind was brutal.

To be fair, the coaches call the pitches. But, absolutely just throw strikes! I would like to see more fastballs, especially against teams that probably can’t hit them.
