I'm not saying he won't leave for another job, but I have it on a trusted source that he and his family love Boone and he wants to build something at App. I don't know that he will leave for a lateral job, but it would be irresponsible of him not to at least entertain options, if not for the sole purpose of seeing his worth and if App can afford to keep him.

Marshall is a terrible matchup for us. I thought we did well and were in position to win. We just didn't. As long as we don't have to play Marshall again in the tournament, we'll be fine. This is only the 3rd time this season where we've scored over 70 and lost, one of the other times was also against Marshall. Win our next two and we're no worse than a 3 seed. Marshall has 3 games left and 2 against teams they've already lost to once. Troy is 3-4 in their past 7 games and still has to play S. Alabama, so a top 2 seed is still very much in play. It could be that the final game of the season at Texas St will determine the regular season championship.
The key game for Marshall is Saturday at Coastal. Their final two games are at home v. ODU and GA Southern.

This is where we miss Vasser.
Or not having Clarke/Njock be ready.
Maybe Brim should have gotten a little more run early on.
I do wish Brim would have been put in late in place of a big man to give us a little more quickness on defense and some fresh legs.

We all need to keep in mind we're still only .5 game out of first with the tie breaker against one of the two teams tied for first. We also have a tie breaker against USA. We'll be no worse than 3rd if we win both games. Everyone except us and Texas State have three games left so a lot can and likely will change.
There are a crazy amount of scenarios that happen within the next 5 days.

It is truly hard to argue with the consistency of performance of his teams. He's never had losing record and given the history of our basketball program, that's a nice accomplishment. However, outside of the 23-24 team, he's not produced a really consistent season long winner. And, the worst trend is that his teams have traditionally not finished the season out on a strong note. Hopefully, this year we can win the last two and have some momentum heading into the tournament.

He does love the community - he will either be here another 10 years because he is entrenched as a local or will be gone in 1-2 years because he wants a higher career path achievement scenario. Its easy for them to stay given his success and he cares about where he lives, I dont consider him or his family a "runner" from job to job, but with NIL that has absolutely crushed his momentum because we are not a basketball school.
We also need to give him resources that are competitive with the top teams in the league.

That can be the difference between getting a great scorer versus a player that is average to less than average scorer but decent on the D side of the ball.
I do wonder, if he would change his offense at all, if he were given crazy money for one year to bring in two very good offensive guys.

I’m still not over the botched inbounds play against Wake Forest several years ago. Last night was like reliving that nightmare all over again.
We burned too many timeouts on inbounds plays early that would have come in handy in the closing minutes.
These plays have been going on for all the Kerns years .
