man i'm proud of this team! far cry from the team that lost to central mich. Kerns got this team playing together and we just beat the best sunbelt team by 22 pts on their home floor

Not to brag, but this was my post in that CMU game thread:

Reminder: we lost to 11-20 NIU in our opening D1 game with the best team we've ever had in 2023. We then lost to 13-19 Oregon State. And that App team had way less transfers. I don't know if we'll be good, but this one game means virtually nothing.

I was convinced we'd lose by eight because we always lose to Troy by eight.

What a weekend. Two west road wins. Defense showed up today and broke Troy's offense.

Big one at home on Wednesday versus SoAl.

They came out on a 7-1 run to start 2nd half and convinced me they would catch us but they only scored 13 points the rest of the way.

We just need to pick up the win against South Alabama on Wednesday to get the clean sweep of the west teams in our schedule. Wasn’t expecting this outcome today. Jennings was on fire and Banks had some good plays. The 3 by Tot at the shot clock buzzer was awesome. Everyone that played, played well. Great team defense.

I missed most of the game due to work, but got to catch parts of it. So glad the boys didn't relax after halftime, I was afraid by the time I could look again that it would be going poorly. Very shocked and happy to win by 22!

They looked comfortable with the lead and were playing like they owned them. I think once Tot hit that ridiculous 3, Troy folded.
