Pretty sure if we win 3 of 5 remaining conference games, we’re guaranteed at least at top 4 seeds. 2 may do it. 4 will guarantee top 2. 3 may do it.

Just as important, App now has tiebreaker over Troy and South Alabama. Plus, Marshall and USA still have to play a makeup game.

That USA zone is tough if you ain't hitting 3s.

IMO, we need Top 4 to have a shot in Pensacola and we're two games up of 5th place with five to go. Troy has four straight road games after Saturday's MAC game, including at USA.

13-5 (winning four of the last five after EMU) should get us Top 2. But roads games in Statesboro, Harrisonburg and San Marcos are still up.

I don’t know where’d we be without Tot. He always seems to make much needed shots. Dodd has been clutch also.
Appalachian is Tot Tot Tot.

You’re welcome.
Ok ban.
It got stuck in my head during the game, and I wasn’t gonna suffer in silence.

Great win. Glad that Marshall game is at home since we might be playing for a Top 2 seed. It looks like in a few scenarios that three straight and the team (with some lucky breaks) could lock up the #2 spot.

This defense is so dang good. They just lock it down in every way.
I was blown away by how simple App's offense was when attacking the USA zone. Nothing fancy, just moved the ball and wait to find an open shot. App was more patient waiting for open shots than I've seen them in a long time.

It’s Kerns. And it’s still early but we are in the hunt.
All due respect, but, whatchu talkin' 'bout, Stonewall?
Kerns is a huge reason this team has gotten better as the year has gone on, and there's only 6 regular season games left.

Loved the emotion of Kerns post game and interacting with the students then the players followed suit.

This is a team in every sense and can beat anyone in conference, if shooting gets lukewarm for the tourney look out.

Kerns , not “ Kearns”. And he , and the staff , are 80 percent of the equation.

The team has impressed me at how they have came together and improved so much throughout the year. I’m always hesitant to get too excited because the games that ultimately matter the most are in March.

Have a feeling we are are 20+ team w Vasser. We might get there without him too. Impressive down the stretch after OOC.

When we beat Louisiana, ULM and S Miss, I was worried it was fools gold since they are bad teams. But we just crushed Troy and were in the lead against S Alabama for almost the entire game. If we keep playing the way we are and don’t have any stinkers, we have a real shot at the 1 seed. Marshall is gonna be a tough out. They scored the most points against us this season than any other game except Elon who also scored 88 points. Still, they only beat us by 7 at their house before we were rolling.

I wonder if Vasser will be healthy by the Final Four. We could use him then.

We've all seen how being a top 2 seed can be a curse due to rust. I'll be happy with top 4, which is very likely.

Very true. The talent has been there all season. Coaches have done a nice job of managing it. Especially lately.

Question for all:
Do you like or dislike having a semi-meaningless non conference game at this point in the season?
The early season MAC - SBC challenge games make sense. Not sure about the late season ones especially if you have to travel.

Kind of pointless this late in season in general early season has some excitement I guess
- Seems like a throw away game for us at this time. I don't want to see us give it away but it also doesn't matter, so making sure our players don't get hurt in this one is paramount - only thing that matters right now is our conference win streak!

It takes time to build “ a team “ , especially when it’s a yearly rebuild. Losing the core of last years squad CJ and Tate , make it that much more impressive. I also note that it’s different guys stepping up game to game. Tot yesterday, Kasen at Troy ….

I hate it. A meaningless game that could negatively impact our recent success. I hope all the GPA guys play the whole game.
