I have a spare ticket for tonight's Greensboro ice hockey game. My wife had to visit your mother in FL and I stayed home.
Send me a PM. Not asking for money, though a donation to Yosef's Club would not hurt my feelings.
Good part - you get a free ticket
The bad part - you have to sit beside me
The really bad part - you will have to hear me mispronounce Gargoyles. I think I say Gar-ghouls and it really irritates my wife and it may be one reason my wife drove to Florida. She is tired of correcting me. And come to think of it this may be why she does not attend many football games with me as I apparently pronounce field goal as field "gold." And she is just over it.
I plan to be there when doors open but I don't mind walking to get you in with my phone or I should be able to transfer from my phone wallet to you.
Anywhoooo, free ticket.

I like that Greensboro is back in the ECHL but wish they called them the Monarchs like the good ol' days.
I loved going in high school to watch the Monarchs take on all the classic ECHL teams like the Norfolk Admirals, Dayton Bombers, Johnstown Chiefs, Richmond Renegades, whatever random name they gave the Roanoke team for that year - and of course the Winston-Salem Thunderbirds.

W-S is still fun for the level that it is. Cheapest way to watch ice hockey in person.
Greensboro won a rare home game Friday. And it had it all. Penalty shot that was blocked by the Greensboro goalie. Two fights. Open net goal in the last minute. And during the second break a couple got engaged.

I miss the old ECHL. I used to wear my old Charlotte Checkers gear in Richmond. Almost got into a fight, and it was just because of my choice in apparel.

It did make for some fun rivalry games when a couple NC were all in the ECHL. There might be some pro league I am missing farther west, but NC is the only state in the 5 big ice hockey leagues, NHL, AHL, ECHL, SPHL. amd FPHL. I think all are doing well enough to keep going next year. I think W-S attendance may be off a bit, and I assume Greensboro is pulling some fans to Greensboro but they are not in danger of folding from what I have read.
Greensboro is averaging about 6K a game. Not bad for ECHL. If feels less than that due to the size of the Coliseum but I think that is top 1/3 in average attendance.
