It is funny you say it that way and it is true...We won't know until next year......Which is quite the change from a few years ago when we wouldn't know about these guys for 2-3 years.

And some of these guys we might not ever know about...we may never get the chance...we'll only see them transfer out and go somewhere else.

I said the same same thing this morning. I don't like being this cynical but even with their best recruiting class possibly ever, in this era of football it is truly year to year. I would bet we won't see 60% of these guys in 2 years. Again I know it's an awful way to view things.

This may be true. Probably similar to other schools. So, hopefully, we keep recruiting at high level so we can keep guys coming in to offset losses..versus less than stellar recruits replacing less than stellar recruits

If the young man signs, do we really think he would actually start as a true freshman. Doesn't seem to happen often... Will DLo risk that option given expectations for next year?
Also depends on what other QBs on the roster.

I believe he is our long term plan.
Still probably need a QB next year via Portal or Kohl/Swann (eligibility?)

I agree. I think DLo loved him some AJ. Maybe due to arm strength or whatever reason. JJ grew on me as he got more playing time. This was really his first year of live action for an expanded period of time in the college level.

The guy played on a broken ankle all year. I'd say there's likely some upside when he gets both feet working. edit - referring to Kohl

He’s athletic- that video of him dunking is impressive. Might just need to get a little more twitch speed and get used to the scheme more. Qb powers and draws wouldn’t be horrible with him.

And maybe get healthy from the nagging injuries he dealt with during the season. That would definitely help too.

A lot can change*, but as-of 10:45am on December 3rd, App has the #1 class in the Sun Belt in total points (helped out by the fact we're taking a bigger class than most) and average rating. The #59 class overall. And we're the only program in the Sun Belt that has signed a 4-star out of high school (per 247).

*Note that the 247 page still has all these players listed as "commits" and none updated to "signed" even though we know some of them have actually signed, so take all of the above with a grain of salt until the page gets updated.

Also, is anyone else having a hard time seeing linked tweets on this message board? I'm just seeing a gray box with a sad face in it. I can't even click on them for links.

They've all been flipped to signed now. I was in surgery when most of these were coming in and ASM was working on his on thread/article.

Not sure if this has been previously posted but ESPN ranks our 2026 class pretty highly. Hope we can keep them in the fold.

Has either one shown that they deserve to be the starter? I think the offense moves better with a healthy AJ but he isn’t head and shoulders above JJ.
