Southern has been a thorn even in our best years as I recall. A sweep of them is overdue . A series win is the minimum. This is a big weekend for the team and the staff.

Stink hits okay. Decent amount of bombs, a good amount hitting above .300. Team BA of .287 and OBP .378.
But has a 8.57 team ERA....woof. That is STINKY.

Its stink, I would like to combine our allowing like 1 run pitching with our hitting for double digits runs.

I would like to see App. St. score some TDs combined with FGs or multiple FGs for each game in the series. Our goal is to make Stink ERA be even higher by end of the weekend.

Serious question....On the RPI/Net rankings in baseball, does it hurt more to lose to a 200 net team or help more to win against a 100 net team? I am 100% sure in my mind all of our efforts should be placed on winning against Sunbelt teams.....but.....but...sometimes my mind leans to do we really want a news story locally that we lost to Queens or WCU or whatever small college vs a non local news story of we lost to Louisiana. I guess the question is where would you throw your best pitcher?

Hurts more to lose to 200 net. (Gwebb, Queens, A&T, any of the St. teams from the NE). Most of our OOC is made up of Q4 teams minus midweeks.

A win always helps.
Away wins/losses are weighted the most.
If you're going to lose, lose to a top 100 team and do it away.

3 Quad 4 games this week end vs the Stink.

We sit at 101 RPI today- pretty solid!!! (We were 191 in after week 6)
This is a must win series at home for a lot of reasons (rival-screw Stink, SBC standings, RPI metrics) against a 200+ ranked team.

Home games like this are really a no win situation for us from a RPI perspective. Regardless of a W or L we drop points in RPI.

Baseball is a crazy sport.

Never imagined a baseball team could be barely hitting.200 as a team and still be leading their division...but my Reds are at the moment..
