thats wild considering how good the sunbelt normally is in baseball...we have talent that could win a conference tournament but not sure if pitching will be consistent enought
The early losses to Gardner Webb and missed opportunities against Duke, Wake, CCU, and USM are killing us. Just win half of those and we're in the hunt for an at large.

Anyways.... Pack up the bus Eagles!

If we win out and beat Wake we might be back in that conversation because right now there’s only 2 SBC teams projected in the field. They might want to talk about a 3rd SBC team and right now we might be that team.
That would mean winning 10-12 more games in a row which would put us at 22 of our last 25. That’s a hot team that could be in that conversation at the right time.

Just keep winning series. All you can ask for. No more midweeks after Tuesday by the way.

I didn’t think it could get better than watching Tolley hit 25+ homers.

This 1 month stretch might top that. On a roll!

It’s really just the GW And Western games. Flip those 3-5 results and we’re +-30-13 right now.

No one faults us for losing to those other teams on paper. It does stink because a few of those were in our hands.

Yes. USM has tiebreaker over App, but still, tied for second is excellent.

Still, we're three games out of being out of the tournament altogether, so nothing's secure yet.

While past games were lost opportunities, Wake at #23, Troy at #59 and ULL at #53 will give us more opportunity to make a climb and so will our tourney.

The next few games will be a better measurement of where the boys are. I get the excitement of sweeping the Stink. I don't care if it's dominos, I want to beat those turds. However, they are a team that is 12-31 over all and 5-16 in conference. The boys did what they should be expected to do this weekend...beat a very bad team.

Yes , not a good GSU team but one that didn’t lie down. We had to make plays to sweep and we did. We also have things to improve on and that’s ok. Maybe we haven’t peaked.I said we needed to go 10-5 to finish strong and we are 6-0 since. Nine to go. Troy will give us a better picture of where we are and what we have. LaLa and G State won’t be pushovers.

Our guys are the hottest team in the SBC

It does give me a warm and fuzzy feeling that Stink and "I hate purple" are cellar dwellers in the conference at the moment.

And we swept them both.
And took 2 of 3 from Marsha.

8-1 vs. our main conf. Rivals.

Really wish we split vs. Western.
2-0 vs. ETSU (border rival)

Not bad for our true rivalries.

In terms of conference, I believe we have won 7 or 8 straight...the next best team has only won 2 straight

Why no TV of the Wake game in Shelby? They televise the Legion World Series on ESPN so why not this game?

I had the same thought. It's maddening. And the location makes no sense to me. Sure, it's about equidistant from each school but it's nowhere close to being in the middle. Let's just play it in Winston and have it televised.

Either way, no livestream in 2026 is unacceptable.
